Kristian Gavoille

A designer and close collaborator of Philippe Starck in the late 1980s, Kristian Gavoille developed an early and close relationship with the aluminium foundry, becoming deeply familiar with its techniques and possibilities. When the Ardi brand was founded in the early 1990s, Anne-Marie Nicol naturally entrusted him with its artistic direction. Recently named Designer of the Year in France, he brought new energy to the young house. Kristian Gavoille designed several objects for Ardi and invited around him a generation of emerging designers. Under his impulse, Ardi became a true field of experimentation, where contemporary creation met industrial craftsmanship.
