Ronan Bouroullec
In the early 1990s, Ronan Bouroullec had just graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs when Kristian Gavoille, then his professor, contacted him. Invited to design for Ardi, he created his first published objects for the brand. This collaboration marked an important step in the career of a designer who would go on to become one of the most influential figures of his generation and a leading voice in contemporary design. These early creations already reveal a particular attention to form, material and use — principles that would continue to shape his work throughout his career.
